| Entry Requirements | You should already have a teaching qualification or be working towards a DTLLS or equivalent. Before starting the course applicants will be required to take part in an Entry Assessment. Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) is very specific about the entry criteria and all candidates must take part. Process skills and personal skills must be demonstrated at Level 3. You will have tasks to complete at home and an assessment session to attend at college (lasting 3 hours approx). This will enable you to demonstrate your Level 3 skills in your specialist area. To help to prepare for the entry assessment you can look at Key Skills Communication (Level 3). Study packs are also available to help you.
Course Requirements - at least 75 hours of teaching (over 2 years) and a current CRB check.
|
| Course Content | The course will run for 4 terms. City & Guilds ask for 120 guided hours of time and approximately 300 hours `personal study' in addition to this. Teaching practice (75 hours) is included. Saturday conferences (one a term) are also included using Creative Routes funding from the Skills for Life Improvement Programme.
