Online Fees for non vocational courses include a 5% discount on the full fee charged via all other routes of enrolment. You will only be able to take advantage of this discount when enrolling online. If you telephone or enrol in person then the full fee will be applicable.
If you are/will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on the 31 August in the calendar year when you begin a programme of study, (this wider definition ensures that the funding of 16-18 year old learners does not change during an individual’s programme if they become 19 years old), you DO NOT pay tuition fees, college registration fees, examination/board registration fees. If you require a kit or special materials for a course, which you keep, you will be expected to pay for this. Please note this does not apply to non vocational courses, for which you will be charged.
If you are 19 or over on the 31 August in the calendar year when you begin a programme of study you will be required to pay £1050 towards the course. This amount excludes related examination/board registration fees and is per academic year.
However, this fee is reduced to £40 plus related examination/board registration fees and is per academic year if one of the following applies:
• you are in receipt of a means tested benefit, or
• your programme of study is a first full level 2 programme and when you start the programme you do not have 5 GCSE’s A*-C or the equivalent, or
• your programme of study is a first full level 3 programme and when you start the programme you do not have one of more A levels, NVQ3, a National Certificate or Diploma or the equivalent and you are under 25 when you start the programme.
If you are over 18 and have not been resident in the UK or another EEA country, members listed below, for the three years preceding the start of the course you will be required to pay £5,150 if the course is 15+ hours per week. The total fee includes related examination and board registration fees. If you have any queries relating to the fee you are expected to pay please ring 01284 716300.
If your first language is not English you will need to arrange with the British Council to have an IELTS test so that we can evaluate your ability to cope with the language differences. Please note we will require further literacy and numeracy assessments before offering you a place on a course to ensure your language skills are relevant to the academic requirements of the course you are applying for.
